Finance Administrator, City Temple, London

The City Temple is an Evangelical, Charismatic, United Reformed Church located on the west side of the City of London. The City Temple congregation as well as other Christian and Secular organisations use the seven-storey building extensively. We employ committed Christians who are in sympathy with and share the church’s Citadel Vision, and who are prepared to be an active part of the church’s fellowships, events and activities.
The Finance Administrator will be responsible for the financial management of the City Temple and the City Temple Conference Centre. This will include supervising financial staff; bookkeeping, banking, budget monitoring, payroll, payables, receivables and preparing financial reports. Key Tasks
* Ensuring that the day to day operations of the finance department are managed in accordance with Elder approved procedures and documentation
* Counting, recording and banking daily revenues
* Monitoring the cash-flow of the City Temple and City Temple Conference Centre
* Producing financial reports weekly, monthly, and annually (for the City Temple Church Meeting)
* Producing and revising, the annual budget, in conjunction with the City Temple Treasurer
* Monitoring expenditures against departmental budgets
* Payables & receivables
* Payroll
* Administering the City Temple’s Gift Aid scheme
* Liasing with the City Temple’s Auditor concerning the production of the annual accounts
